The Chicago Bulls had an opportunity on Wednesday night to build some really nice momentum after beating the five-time champion San Antonio Spurs on Monday, and Jimmy Butler and company were able to do so. This would’ve been the type of game last season that they dropped by not taking their opponent seriously, but they were able to avoid that this time around.
Pau Gasol was the main reason for this, because he returned to his habit of dropping a double-double against the Nuggets. He recorded 26 points and 19 rebounds in the 99-90 win, and he did this in an efficient fashion.
