The 1984 NBA draft was undisputedly the biggest draft in Chicago Bulls history.
After the Houston Rockets selected Hakeem Olajuwon and the Portland Trailblazers selected Sam Bowie, the Bulls got their best player in franchise history with the no. 3 overall pick, Michael Jordan.
On September 12, 1984, the Bulls would make it official, signing Jordan to his rookie contract.
Jordan had a spectacular rookie year and the Bulls would never be the same. During his rookie season, Jordan averaged 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.4 steals per game on an efficient 51.
