Chicago Bulls have new ‘worst loss of the season’, score 73 points in home clunker versus the Charlotte Hornets

We have a new worst loss of the season.

Tonight against the Charlotte Hornets 25th ranked defense (by defensive rating), the Bulls shot 30 percent and scored the lowest points for an NBA team this season, 73, in a 83-73 loss to Michael Jordan’s franchise. The Bulls leading scorers were Zach LaVine and Ryan Arcidiacono with 12 points apiece and everyone on the team except Arcidiacono and rookie Daniel Gafford shot under 50 percent from the field.

Head coach Jim Boylen decided to bench Lauri Markkanen for nearly 15 straight minutes in the second half, which is a tactic that Boylen didn’t have much of an rationale for post-game.
