Nikola Mirotic hasn’t had a year to remember, and this has to do with a couple of unfortunate injuries. He had to have an emergency appendectomy in late January, but that procedure went horribly wrong and he was forced to undergo another surgery to remove a hematoma.
When Fred Hoiberg was hired as head coach, it was to revamp the Chicago Bulls with a new free-flowing style using players like Bobby Portis and Mirotic. Hoiberg has failed, but it hasn’t been the fault of Mirotic.
“I want the soonest,” Mirotic said to ESPN about his return.
