A sold-out United Center with former Chicago Bull Joakim Noah and a few players from the Chicago Bears in attendance were interested in seeing how the defending champions would perform in their lone visit to the Madhouse on Madison. Chicago native, Alfonzo McKinnie had a stellar homecoming game as he recorded a double-double (19 points, 10 rebounds) in 27 minutes of playing time.
The trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant combined for 89 points. Klay Thompson went off for 36 points and tied an NBA record with 10 3-pointers made in the first half; his fourth career 30-point half.
