One of the biggest games of the preseason slate for the Chicago Bulls lies on tap on Oct. 9. The Bulls take on the upstart New Orleans Pelicans on the road at the Smoothie King Center on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. CT. This will also be one of the few total, and the first, nationally broadcasted game of the preseason or the regular season for the Bulls.
Now, there is one main reason why the Bulls are getting on national television for this Wednesday night preseason showdown. ESPN doesn’t just usually throw any preseason game on a Wednesday between two non-playoff teams from the season before on national television on its flagship network.
