The seventh overall pick for the Chicago Bulls in the 2019 NBA Draft went to the former North Carolina Tar Heels freshman standout point guard Coby White. This was a solid pickup for the Bulls since one of the biggest needs heading into the offseason, and more specifically the NBA Draft, was upgrading for the future at point guard. A common train of thought was that a veteran point guard was the big need this summer.
But the Bulls managed to get the best of both worlds in terms of upgrading at the point guard position by landing the rookie White at seven and pulling off a sign-and-trade deal with the Washington Wizards to land combo guard and Czech native Tomas Satoransky.
