In 2005, the Utah Jazz selected Walsh University’s Robert Whaley No. 51 overall and now, Shaw University’s (NC) Amir Hinton appears to be the next player to break the Division II barrier after participating in the NBA’s G League Elite Camp and working out for several teams including the Chicago Bulls.
Hinton is a well-known commodity in Division II basketball for his scoring ability and being one of the best players in program history at Lock Haven University and Shaw.
Hinton is listed as a point guard, but can also play off the ball as the two-guard.
