When Fred Hoiberg was hired as the coach of the Chicago Bulls, there were legitimate concerns on how the Bulls would play defensively. They had a solid system in place from ousted coach Tom Thibodeau and lured experienced assistant coach Jim Boylan away from the San Antonio Spurs.
The defense looked good early on and the Bulls had one of the best rankings in the league. As time has worn on though, the Bulls’ numbers have been falling precipitously and the once-proud Bulls have turned into a horrid defensive team.
