The Bulls need a long-term solution at point guard. They have easily the worst production in the league from the spot and while they’ve tried out a bunch of players this season, none have looked like future starters three or four years down the line.
That’s why you could see the logic in trading for Cameron Payne, despite the fact that he is now the fifth point guard on the roster. Payne might have the most upside of any of the Bulls’ project point guards, and the Bulls were high on the former 14th pick of the 2015 draft ever since he came out of Murray State.
