Bulls trade Kirk Hinrich to Hawks, add SG Justin Holiday

CLEVELAND -- The Chicago Bulls on Thursday traded Kirk Hinrich to the Atlanta Hawks for a future second-round pick, a league source told ESPN's Brian Windhorst. The move serves as a money-saving maneuver for a Bulls team that has underperformed all season and enters Thursday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers with a 27-25 record.

The 35-year-old Hinrich is making almost $3 million this season and is averaging 3.8 points and 1.7 assists per game. This will mark his second stint with the Hawks -- he was traded from Washington to Atlanta in 2011 and spent parts of two seasons with the Hawks.
