As expected, the Bulls made a deal before Thursday's NBA trade deadline. Just not the move most people would have predicted.
The Bulls traded Kirk Hinrich to the Atlanta Hawks for a second-round selection.

In 35 games with the Bulls this season, Hinrich was averaging 3.8 points per game.
The 12-year NBA veteran previously played 72 games for the Hawks between 2010-2012.
According to the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson, the move will save the Bulls close to $3 million.
