There’s a consistency to Billy Donovan that his Bulls players are embracing.
Most NBA coaches like to preach how they’re “teachers,’’ but Donovan actually is.
He’s teaching his veterans the importance of being mentors, he’s teaching a core roster of seemingly soft players the importance of toughness, and he’s teaching a collection of players that have become accustomed to losing basketball far too long how to play winning basketball.
But maybe the most important lesson Donovan has shown this franchise is the one being learned at the top: Coaches matter in the NBA.
They are not disposable for cheaper options.
