An undermanned Bulls team has just been dealt another blow.
The Bulls announced that forward Nikola Mirotic underwent an appendectomy on Wednesday afternoon after being diagnosed with acute appendicitis.
“Bulls forward Nikola Mirotiu0107 was diagnosed with an acute appendicitis,” the Bulls said in a statement. ” An appendectomy was performed earlier today at Rush University Medical Center and went as expected.”
Mirotic will not travel will the team to Los Angeles for the start of a seven-game road trip, and is expected to be out until after the All-Star break.
Mirotic, who was named to the roster of the NBA's Rising Stars Challenge earlier Wednesday morning, is averaging 10.
