The Bulls have some holes to fill on their roster during the upcoming offseason. In part one of my 27-part series on their needs, I discussed their biggest one: A defensive center. Next up on the list is a competent wing to play alongside Jimmy Butler.
Ever since the Bulls traded away Luol Deng in the middle of the 2013-14 season, they have failed to replace his production from that spot.
Mike Dunleavy was signed at the start of that season to be Deng’s backup, then was thrust in as the emergency fill-in starter. He’s done an admirable job in his time in Chicago, but he was never supposed to be the answer at small forward.
