When adding to the rebuild last offseason, it was all about having interchangeable pieces. Jim Boylen has brought that up more than a handful of times, pointing to the issues in the past.
According to the coach, if a starter went down in previous seasons, the back-up would force the staff to completely change the way the team played on both ends of the floor.
That’s why it was so important for Boylen to add compatible parts. A next-man-up mentality that’s about to be fully tested yet again.
