Chicago Bulls general manager Gar Forman, Bulls COO Michael Reinsdorf and representatives from Hoffman Estates all contributed into the announcement of the Chicago Bulls getting their own NBA Developmental League franchise next season.
The new NBDL franchise will play at Sears Centre starting in 2016 — roughly 40 miles from the United Center — and will become the 22nd team to join the D-League.
“We think this is a terrific step for our franchise from a basketball perspective,” Forman said during Wednesday’s press conference. “This organization has a great belief in building through the draft.
