Bleacher Report Article Breaks Down ‘The (Peak) Michael Jordan Effect’

There have been some tremendous individual seasons in the long history of the NBA. This season has put a few of them on display (see Curry, Stephen and Westbrook, Russell).

But, arguably the greatest season (of the modern NBA era of at least) was Michael Jordan’s season following his first MVP campaign in the 1988-89 season. Jordan terrorized the league all year, averaging 32.5 points, eight rebounds and eight assists per contest for the Chicago Bulls.
