There’s the much-used Chicago-to-Rockford shuttle for Blackhawks prospects, and then there’s the Rockford-to-Indianapolis one.

Goalie prospect Collin Delia hopes to someday to be promoted to the former, but he’ll have to settle for the latter trip right now. Delia will be going back and forth between the Rockford IceHogs, the Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate, and the Indy Fuel, their ECHL affiliate, this season as the organization attempts to balance development and game experience for him.

The Blackhawks signed Delia, 23, as a college free agent this offseason after he impressed them for the second consecutive prospect camp. He had played three years at Merrimack, and joined the Blackhawks on a two-year entry-level deal.
