Billy Donovan wasn’t going to panic after three straight losses to start the season, and the Bulls coach definitely wasn’t going to pop the champagne after the team’s first win on Tuesday.
His message remains very clear: Let this all marinate.
“I think you start getting 40, 45, 50 games into the season, you know I think you really start to see, ‘OK, this is who we’re going to end up being, and this is who we are.’ I don’t think we’re at that point yet,’’ Donovan said.
In other words, Donovan and his front office aren’t anywhere close to making roster decisions on these players – good or bad – with such a small sample size.
