The Chicago Bulls remain in contact with veteran free-agent sharpshooter Ray Allen, which made his recent visit to the Windy City all the more intriguing for those looking for Allen to join a championship-minded Bulls squad.
Per K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, the Bulls continue to send feelers out to Allen and are one of a select few teams actually in the running to sign him.
The biggest hurdle for a deal to get done isn't Allen's desire to play in Chicago. The Bulls and head coach Tom Thibodeau are arguably the best fit for the 3-point machine, giving him a legitimate chance to end his 19th NBA season with a ring.
The challenge in front of the Bulls is convincing a player that has already done pretty much everything a player would want to do in his career to get back into the grind and push himself both mentally and physically towards another championship.
If anyone can do it, it's this Bulls team. The talent is unquestionably there. Whether or not the team's courtship of Allen bears fruit comes down to his desire to give it a go one more time.
