Derrick Rose's recent comments about looking at life after basketball have drawn heavy criticism throughout the league, and TNT analyst Shaquille O'Neal offered his take tonight on 'Inside the NBA'.
"I was taught that if you can walk, you can play," Shaq said. "When you say comments like that, it sort of makes you look soft. Like he said he's going to be himself, so if that's the way he feels, that's the way he feels."
Charles Barkley agreed with Shaq and called Rose's comments "stupid".
Rose only played in 10 games during the past two seasons, and has appeared in just five of the Bulls' nine games so far his year.
He's averaging 17.5 ppg and 5.8 apg on the season.
