While the Bulls are simply engaging in the exploratory stages of a potential signing at this point, the Miami Heat could very well be in danger of losing all three members of their vaunted "Big Three" this offseason.
Several reports are indicating that the Houston Rockets are close to signing Chris Bosh to a four-year max contract - a potential coup which will leave Dwyane Wade as the only member of the vaunted superstar trio left on Miami's ledger if he were to re-sign.
Such a possibility could make an overture by the Chicago Bulls much more intriguing for Wade, especially with the uncertainty regarding the Miami Heat's roster heading into the 2014-15 NBA season.
