With the February 19 trade deadline fast approaching, the Chicago Bulls are looking to make a deal for a perimeter scorer, and are targeting Denver's Arron Afflalo.
Chicago is one of five teams that have expressed interest in Afflalo according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, but Denver would like a first-round pick in return for him. However, Afflalo has a player option for next season, so Chicago would need assurance from him that he would stick with the team for next year, too.
Head coach Tom Thibodeau is looking for a consistent scoring option who can take some of the scoring load off Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose.
Afflalo is averaging 14.5 points and 3.4 rebounds in 33 minutes a game so far this season.
