In today's Bulls rumors and news update, the Chicago Bulls are reportedly not feeling too great about their chances at landing New York Knicks free agent Carmelo Anthony - shifting their focus to other potential top-tier free agents such as Los Angeles Lakers big man Pau Gasol
Firstly, per ESPN's Marc Stein, the Bulls' interest in Gasol could be a signal of their uneasiness over a potential Melo signing:
Pau Gasol Addendum No. 1: Sources say Bulls' rising interest in Pau IS indeed reflection of concern they can't convince Melo to leave NYK

ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reported earlier that the Oklahoma City Thunder have emerged as a new "frontrunner" for Gasol. However, Chicago Bulls representatives will be meeting with the four-time NBA All-Star in LA on Thursday - giving them a chance to pull ahead in negotiations.
Is LeBron on the market?
ESPN's Chris Broussard is indicating that Miami's Big Three aren't necessarily working together on a plan which would bring them all back to South Beach with room to spare.
Reportedly, both Bosh and Wade are willing to come back to Miami, but neither are sure about James' intentions at the present moment:
"It's not a done deal," said one source, when asked about James' return to Miami. "That's for sure."
Bosh and Wade were so uncertain about James's future after last week's meeting that one of them spoke about what the Heat might look like without James, according to one source.
While the Miami Heat are still most likely the favorites to retain James, the door seems to be opening just a little bit to potential offers - a door which the Bulls could race to get through first if James begins to look elsewhere.
