Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau has had to do plenty of juggling with injuries to stars Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol this year.
However, one constant for Thibs has been the absolutely top-tier play of 25-year-old Jimmy Butler.
"He's been incredible," said Thibodeau after the Bulls lost to the Denver Nuggets 114-109 on Tuesday, via Nick Freidell of ESPN Chicago. "He's a star, and he does it on both ends of the floor. He's just an amazing player. We've had him play the point, we've had him play the 2, the 3, and tonight he played the 4. And he hasn't had any opportunity to practice the 4. So he just got out there, he's smart, he's tough, he does whatever the team needs, and he found a way to help lead us into coming back and having a shot at the end."
Butler is averaging 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists a game so far in 2014-15, and hits 18-of-20 free throws en route to tying a career-high with 32 points in Tuesday's loss.
If Butler can keep this up regardless of who's injured and who's not, an All-Star Game selection is well within reach for the talented youngster.
