The Chicago Bulls announced during Monday's shootaround that superstar Derrick Rose will miss Monday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers with his recent hamstring injury.
Rose spoke with members of the assembled media, indicating that he needs to exercise caution with his hamstring seeing that it is the main support muscle for his surgically-repaired knee.
"Getting better everyday but still taking my time," Rose said when asked about his condition, via Sam Smith of Bulls.com. "It's calming down and not as sore."
Rose also had an indirect message for critics who believes that he should suck it up and play through the pain.
"There's no need for anyone to play through injuries with the talent we have in this team," Rose said matter-of-factly.
"It's too bad it's me, but I'm just trying to get back as quick as possible," Rose added.
