For the second time in the past week, the Blackhawks had a questionable goal taken away from them. Only this time, it came back to haunt them.
After Brandon Mashinter appeared to have scored the first goal of the game against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, officials waved it off due to goaltender interference following a coaches challenge. A similar instance happened last Thursday against the Arizona Coyotes, but the Blackhawks overcame that to capture a 5-4 victory in overtime.
They weren't so lucky the second time, getting shut out by the Sharks 2-0 in their first home game since Jan.
