Chris Chelios honored the late Stan Mikita during the seventh inning stretch of the Chicago Cubs game against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night at Wrigley Field.
Chelios — who was named a Chicago Blackhawks team ambassador in July after leaving the Detroit Red Wings organization — dedicated the stretch to Mikita, who died Aug. 7 at age 78.
“Hey, Chicago. It’s great to be back home,” Chelios said. “We just lost one of our greatest icons. One of the greatest ever. To Jill (Mikita), to the family, to the great Stan Mikita.
