Watch: Blackhawks prospect Andrei Altybarmakyan’s offseason training includes a car workout

Altybarmakyan, a third-round draft pick by Chicago in 2017, is using some unconventional ways to develop his strength with a car.

The 19-year-old Russian worked his way into SKA St. Petersburg’s lineup in 14 KHL games last season, but did not record a point. The 5-foot-11, 183-pounder posted nine goals and 18 points in 32 contests for SKA-Neva St. Petersburg in the VHL, Russian’s second-tier league.

The St. Petersburg native, who plays on his offside at right wing, tallied a goal and two assists in five games for Russia during the World Junior Championship.

Altybarmakyan has one year left on his contract with SKA St.
