Blackhawks prospect Adam Boqvist scored with 1:10 left in overtime to lift Sweden to a 5-4 overtime win over the United States on Saturday at the World Junior Championship.
Boqvist’s game-winner helped Sweden keep its preliminary round victory streak alive after allowing a hat trick to Canadiens prospect Ryan Poehling in the third period.
Boqvist nearly ended the game at the 3:55 mark in overtime on a breakaway chance, but was denied by Bruins prospect Kyle Keyser.
Boqvist had three shots on goal, including the game-winner, in 19:50 of ice time.
