The Vegas Golden Knights traded defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk to the Carolina Hurricanes, reports TSN’s Frank Seravalli on Thursday. Complete terms of the deal are not known at this time.
The move comes less than 24 hours after the Golden Knights selected van Riemsdsyk from the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL expansion draft. He didn’t last long with the Golden Knights, who moved quickly to agree to a deal with the Hurricanes to ship out the 25-year-old.
Vegas nabbed 12 defensemen in the expansion draft, so it’s no surprise that they’re trying to move some of these guys now.
