It's been a tough year for one of the Vancouver Canucks' top prospects, defenceman Olli Juolevi.
Granted, it would've been hard to match his previous year when he helped Finland win gold at the world juniors, then won the Memorial Cup with the London Knights, then went fifth overall in the 2016 NHL draft.
That was a pretty good year.
Unfortunately, though, Juolevi wasn't able to build on it. At the 2017 world juniors, the Finland squad he captained almost got relegated. Meanwhile, his point production plateaued in London. And based on his most recent performance at Canucks training camp, including the prospects tournament in Penticton, it's fair to wonder if he might've spent the last year not plateauing but, in fact, regressing.
Time for Olli Juolevi to get back to work
