TORONTO – You never know who you’re going to run into at the World Cup of Hockey. There are NHL alumni all over the place.
I happened to encounter former NHL defenseman Kimmo Timonen, who retired after winning the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2015, in a hallway on Sunday afternoon. He’s an adviser for Finland’s team at the World Cup.
Timonen was nice enough to allow me a few minutes to talk about Blackhawks prospect and Finland defenseman Ville Pokka, plus a few other topics.
Scott Powers: Have you got a chance to work with Ville Pokka and what have you made of his game?
