NASHVILLE, Tenn. — This one is going to leave a mark.
In fact, it already did physically. All it took was a look at the faces of four Blackhawks who spoke to reporters following Game 4 against the Nashville Predators on Thursday.
There was a tinge of blood at the corner of Artemi Panarin’s mouth. Ryan Hartman’s right eye was swollen. Jonathan Toews had a fresh scratch on his right cheek which was bright red with blood.
And then there was Patrick Kane, whose face was intact, but bore the look of absolute shock. His voice even trembled a couple times, as he spat out the harsh reality the Blackhawks only scored three goals in a playoff series that lasted four games.
