The Brent Seabrook saga will probably get worse before its resolution

The good news, is that, in five, 10 or 15 years, when his number is heading to the rafters at the United Center while his family watches and a crowd cheers, much of what is happening now will be ignored, if not completely forgotten.

The bad news? The current situation will probably get uglier before there’s any sort of resolution.

That’s the dilemma facing the Chicago Blackhawks and veteran defenseman Brent Seabrook, who was scratched for the second straight game prior to Tuesday’s matchup with the Nashville Predators.

Seabrook was first scratched against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday night, citing a desire to rest the 34-year-old veteran.
