LOS ANGELES — There's no coach in the NBA in a similar spot as Steve Kerr, stocked with an outrageously talented, veteran roster mature enough to mostly police itself and heavily favored to win a second straight title.
But every coaching situation, no matter how enviable, has its challenges. The Warriors appear tired, bored and unfocused early this season. They've lost three of seven games and only really looked fully engaged during one of them. It's hard to focus on October when you know April, May and June are the only months that really matter.
But it's tough for a coach to stomach a disinterested team.
