The St. Louis Blues are celebrating an anniversary this year just not with any silverware as the franchise’s Stanley Cup drought reaches 51 years with their loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. It’s truly a tradition unlike any other.
The Blues will get their Cup eventually and based on this past season, it’s easy to say they’re closer than the Chicago Blackhawks to doing so.
We’ll refrain from gloating about the Blackhawks’ six Stanley Cup titles, including three since 2010, since Chicago missed the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
