When the Sharks finalized their 2017-18 opening night roster, they sent a dozen players down to the San Jose Barracuda. Some of the moves were easily foreseen, but a few were players fighting for a spot on the NHL roster. But with their AHL squad just down the hall at SAP Center, there are options if the Sharks find they need reinforcements.
In a long grind of a season, things happen. General manager Doug Wilson is not shy about trades, and with a handful of skaters that could have been in the NHL, it gives Wilson options should the trade winds blow to the West Coast.
