EDMONTON, Alberta –The Penguins had concluded their practice 30 minutes earlier at Edmonton's Rogers Place when a familiar scene unfolded. Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang and Olli Maatta were the last three skaters on the ice, which is pretty typical.
Crosby said he was working on his shot. Maatta just likes putting the work in. And what was Letang working on? This wasn't so typical.
“It's a little bit of everything right now,” he said.
Letang, arguably the greatest defenseman in franchise history, has played some of the worst hockey of his career during the past 10 days.
