Artemi Panarin had a goal and two assists and Scott Darling stopped 28 of 29 shots he faced as the Blackhawks beat the New York Islanders 4-1 on Saturday night.
Patrick Kane also had a goal and two assists for the Blackhawks, who swept their weekend series against the Islanders.
The Blackhawks liked what they were getting from their second line (Panarin, Artem Anisimov and Kane) the first two games. That continued with another effective performance on Saturday. Panarin’s goal was his second of his young NHL career.
Trevor van Riemsdyk scored his first NHL career goal, which proved to be the game-winner.
