The Blackhawks leaned on Scott Darling when Corey Crawford was out most of December.
Now they’re going to have to lean on Crawford with Darling going to miss the bulk of March.
Darling suffered an upper-body injury during the Blackhawks’ morning skate on Friday and is expected to miss up to three weeks, according to Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville.
Darling has been the hotter goaltender of the two as of late. He’s stopped 221 of 232 shots since Jan. 1 and has allowed two goals or fewer in six of his past seven starts. He is 16-5-2 with a 2.
