Scott Darling is usually exhausted by the time he gets home after starting a game for the Blackhawks.
Sixty minutes of trying to halt moving pucks would tire anyone out. Darling feels all that fatigue by the time he opens his door. He knows sleep is what his body requires. But his mind craves something else.
He needs more hockey.
Specifically, he needs more hockey goaltending. He needs to know how everyone around the NHL did that night. So, he turns the TV on and the ritual begins.
“It’s time consuming to go home every night and watch the highlights every night when I go home,” the 28-year-old Darling recently said.
