As of Thursday, the Rockford IceHogs had either not decided on a starting goalie for Game 1 of its first-round series with the Chicago Wolves, or they’re keeping it secret.
Any way you try to frame this indecision, it’s not a good sign heading into the matchup with the high-powered Central Division champions.
On Tuesday, IceHogs general manager Mark Bernard tried to put a positive spin on it.
“We have great goaltending,” Bernard said Tuesday in a rare appearance in front of reporters.
Rookie Collin Delia had the best finish of any IceHogs netminder.
