Joel Quenneville reportedly will not be a free agent for much longer.
According to Sportsnet Canada's Elliotte Friedman, the Florida Panthers are "close" to hiring Quenneville as their next head coach.
There is a real sense today that the process between FLA and Joel Quenneville is much further along than many of us realized. It’s not a done deal, but it’s close. It would not be a surprise if this process closes in the near future.

Quenneville was the Blackhawks head coach from 2008-18, leading the team to three Stanley Cup championships and nine-straight trips to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
