Report: F Daniel Paille agrees to PTO with Blackhawks

The Blackhawks will bring in unrestricted free-agent forward Daniel Paille to training camp on a professional tryout basis, TSN's Darren Dreger reported Sunday.

Paille, 31, spent the last six seasons with the Boston Bruins, and played an important part on the team's penalty kill unit during their 2011 Stanley Cup run.

Last season, he registered six goals and seven assists in 71 regular-season games, and logged an ice-time average of 11 minutes, 31 seconds.

Paille's three-year, $3.9 million contract expired last season.

As of Sunday, the Blackhawks have just under $1 million left in cap space, which means — barring a trade or roster move — they have just enough room to add one more player at the right price.
