Report: Blackhawks prospect Stephen Johns suffers broken forearm, out 4-6 weeks

Chicago Blackhawks prospect Stephen Johns suffered a broken forearm during the Rockford IceHogs Game 5 loss on Sunday to the Grand Rapids Griffins in the second-round series of the 2015 Calder Cup playoffs, reports Scott Grodsky of WIFR-TV.

The injury occurred in the second period when Johns took a "really hard spill into the boards," according to Dan Cohen of WREX-TV. Johns would return from the locker room after being evaluated by the team medical staff, but stayed on the bench.

Johns scored three goals and added four assists in eight playoff games this season.
