The Patrick Kane case may be nearing a conclusion.
According to a report from the Buffalo News, it's unlikely the Blackhawks star will face criminal charges from an alleged sexual assault incident that occurred in August at Kane's home in Buffalo.
Sources told the Buffalo News that the case is unlikely to be presented to a grand jury and that "the case is going nowhere."
Just over a month ago, the accuser's lawyer, Thomas Eoannou, claimed the rape kit from the case had been tampered with and was put at the door of the victim's mother.
