The goaltender asked for his rights to be traded in June after he believed he was no longer in the team’s future plans. But his agent, Shumi Babaev, told Scott Powers of The Athletic the two sides have agreed that his client will play one more season in the KHL before coming to the NHL.
“We’re on the same page,” Babaev said. We fix everything. It’s clear understand(ing) for us. I said our position to (Chicago general manager Stan Bowman) and him to me. I understand his thinking of the future of the team.
