Ghislain Picard says the Hawks' current primary logo is just as offensive as the one used by the NFL's team in Washington.
The Chicago Blackhawks' iconic logo and branding has largely avoided controversy in recent years, but an online proposal to change the team's primary logo has earned the support of Quebec's top First Nations chief. Ghislain Picard, the head of the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador, says he would support the team changing its famous "Indian head" logo. To Picard, it's a matter of respect.
"If there's consideration for what we think and what we would like to see, then sure," he said of changing the logo.
